Summary

Life gets pretty boring when you can beat the snot out of any villain with just one punch。

Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique。 However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem—he just can’t seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on!

The curtain rises on the big battle between the Monster Association and the heroes! As the Class-A and lower-ranked heroes engage in intense battle, the Class-S crew is able to take out a horde of monsters in one fell swoop before invading farther underground。 Among them, Flashy Flash demonstrates splendid battle prowess against ninja turned monsters!

I was surprised that Saitama didn't make an appearance。 There were a lot of Dragon Ball Z style fights though。 I was surprised that Saitama didn't make an appearance。 There were a lot of Dragon Ball Z style fights though。 。。。more

Saitama on the cover, but is not in the book

Out of the gate: No Saitama in this one。 This caused some consternation for other readers。 I wasn't bothered: Child Emperor, Atomic Samurai and Flashy Flash all got some big set pieces and it provided plenty of action。 One critique said that this lacked some of the humor and charm of previous volumes。 I can't really dispute that at face value other than to say that at 21 volumes in, maybe it's ok if it's evolving and telling a larger story。 Maybe? I appreciated that in this large cast of characters, it gave room to some others to be showcased。 We finally hone in on saving the child hostage, so that plot point is moving forward, but they don't get out of the woods in this one。 Still on board, still a fan, OPM 4 lyfe。 。。。more

Was a good installment of the series。 Awesome to see Flashy Flash and the Child Emperor in action。 But this fell short of being 5 stars since it was missing Saitama。 Not even a mention!

I always look forward to a new volume of One-Punch Man, so this was a great Christmas present。 As usual, I would prefer more Saitama (this time less than little), but I did enjoy the extended fight with Flash。

Flashy Flash is potentially my favorite S-Class now? Genos is very high up there。 The fight scene between Flashy Flash and the other two speedsters looked so cinematic, I can't wait to see it animated。 Insane。 Flashy Flash is potentially my favorite S-Class now? Another action packed volume, the art is still just perfect。 They story follows the heroes infiltating the monster association, mainly focused on Flash Flash as he just obliterates monsters。 You also get a bit of Child Emperor, which I was surprised that I enjoyed reading about him so much。 I find it funny that Saitama is on the cover but he's not included in the volume, in fact none of the main players are。 There is no Genos, King, Bang or even Blizzard。 I do love the fact that this series star Another action packed volume, the art is still just perfect。 They story follows the heroes infiltating the monster association, mainly focused on Flash Flash as he just obliterates monsters。 You also get a bit of Child Emperor, which I was surprised that I enjoyed reading about him so much。 I find it funny that Saitama is on the cover but he's not included in the volume, in fact none of the main players are。 There is no Genos, King, Bang or even Blizzard。 I do love the fact that this series started with following the exploits of Saitama but has slowly grown to focus on the whole Hero Association。 I know that'll put a lot of people off being that it's just not about one guy, like most superhero shows or even My Hero Academia, Vol。 1 but that's one of the reasons I love it, it doesn't need to focus on one guy instead each characters get their own arcs and moments to shine。 。。。more

*Sighs heavily*Back to waiting a year or longer to find out what happens。 Saitama had very little screen time, for being the cover picture。 Although, I understand why。Also, I remember not liking the Child Emperor, thinking he was just a genius spoiled brat。 My opinion has greatly altered。 I really like him as a character。 Tornado is still an annoying brat。 Can't expect her to change。 I find myself longing for her to get a good butt whooping by either a monster or, more preferably, Saitama。 Blizz *Sighs heavily*Back to waiting a year or longer to find out what happens。 Saitama had very little screen time, for being the cover picture。 Although, I understand why。Also, I remember not liking the Child Emperor, thinking he was just a genius spoiled brat。 My opinion has greatly altered。 I really like him as a character。 Tornado is still an annoying brat。 Can't expect her to change。 I find myself longing for her to get a good butt whooping by either a monster or, more preferably, Saitama。 Blizzard annoys me too。 Genos is still awesome, but I'm getting a little tired of him constantly being destroyed from every battle。 It'd be nice if he could stay together for a couple of major battles。King cracks me up。 I seriously love that he is nothing but an average videogaming human。 All in all, this series is the best。 Plenty of epic characters。 Thrilling battles。 Character growth。 But best of all, humor。 Lots and lots of hilarious humor。 Can't wait to catch up to the books with the anime。 I love watching this after reading it。 。。。more

Mild Spoilers- less a review and more of my own notes to Keep track。So no Saitama again this volume。 The class S heroes are battling alongside the weakling shite heroes to gain entrance to the monster headquarters underground, in order to rescue the boy who's been held captive。 Master Atomic flaunts his skills in such an understated yet amazing way, seemingly shredding the very atoms of his victims, starting with Rhino dude。The little dudes get put to shame by the clear, real heroes。Blackluster, Mild Spoilers- less a review and more of my own notes to Keep track。So no Saitama again this volume。 The class S heroes are battling alongside the weakling shite heroes to gain entrance to the monster headquarters underground, in order to rescue the boy who's been held captive。 Master Atomic flaunts his skills in such an understated yet amazing way, seemingly shredding the very atoms of his victims, starting with Rhino dude。The little dudes get put to shame by the clear, real heroes。Blackluster, Puri Puri (or pervy pervy lol) Flashy Flash, and Child Emperor are featured, the last 2 with some great fight scenes。 FF finally bested those 2 assasin-turned-monster guys。Child Emperor shows off his backpack of tricks" makes it to the kid Waganma, and must summon his huge brave giant to fight。 We don't see the end of that fright before we cut to a cpl shitty heroes macking it to nurses in the hospital。 。。。more

This was a solid volume。 I like getting to see the Class S heroes shine more in this one, since the Class A heroes took center stage in the previous volume。 I particularly like that we are getting to see more of Child Emperor he cracks me up。 Not because he himself is funny but just the idea of this kid as a Class S hero amuses the hell out of me! The one with the most action。 Not too much advancing in the plot。 The lack of dialogues helped to read it fast, even for a graphic story。 But its ok。 Cool。

Oh man, this is an awesome volume。 I mean, we all love these "base" attack arcs in both anime and manga。 It is a very effective way of putting spotlight across all characters, which in this case, the Class S heroes and at the same time provides an avenue to just go crazy with badassery。Volume 21 is mostly about Flashy Flash and Child Emperor, and a bit of Atomic Samurai。 The fight scenes are topnotch in quality and execution。 ONE made the readers sure what Class S heroes are capable of。 He concr Oh man, this is an awesome volume。 I mean, we all love these "base" attack arcs in both anime and manga。 It is a very effective way of putting spotlight across all characters, which in this case, the Class S heroes and at the same time provides an avenue to just go crazy with badassery。Volume 21 is mostly about Flashy Flash and Child Emperor, and a bit of Atomic Samurai。 The fight scenes are topnotch in quality and execution。 ONE made the readers sure what Class S heroes are capable of。 He concretely drew the line in terms of power differences。 And clearly, Class S heroes are on a league of their own。 I hope volume 22 continues all the fun with the other Class S heroes。 Pig God and Puri-puri Prisoner please! 。。。more
